Welcome to Creating Space

After Frankie's death, we opened our door to Frankie's large and rambling friend community. Our home became a place where her friends could share memories, ask questions about Frankie's mental illness, talk about their grief, and tell us about themselves. Supporting Frankie's friends inspired me to help young people. Friends are often forgotten when it comes to suicide loss, yet these are primary relationships at this age. I believe that friends need more spaces to share their grief experiences. And I believe that doing so with art-making in your hands creates a special space for healing.
