Reflections on Paper

These books were created with energy infused with my love for Frankie. Each one is unique. Books are covered with beeswax, hand-stitched, and filled with specialty paper. Covers can be made with collage materials, photos, or print material.

In these workshops, you will create your own handmade book. It can be used as a journal, a sketchbook, a photo album, or merely as decoration as each book stands upright for display.

This workshop is four 2-3 hour sessions, with each session focused on constructing different parts of the book (the cover, tearing papers, creating a mixed media cover, binding), with a support group in the first and last sessions.

The Sessions:

Day 1 - Creating layers of Mixed Media paper

Day 2 - Constructing Front and Back Cover

Day 3 - Constructing Inside cover / Tearing papers

Day 4 - Binding your book
